American Kinderfeld Frankfurt

In 2020, we were able to do extensive research and discovered that there were many more children buried at this cemetery than we thought. They were buried in other sections: V, XVI, and XXIV. Another discovery is that these children came from military hospitals all over Germany, but there were also 2 children from France, and 1 from Turkey

Though many of these children are from military parents, not all of them are. We have no way of knowing this information.

We keep a separate, private list that we use when families contact us, which has more details that we can then share with the families.

We believe the list of 695 burials is now complete as we have checked all the record books at the cemetery. 

Suggested Clean-up dates for the rest of the 2025 and into 2026, though these can always be changed if your group wants a different day or time.

21 June 13:00, Annual Memorial 

 The Memorial is in June 2026, the day before Father's Day, because we want to remember the Fathers too and their loss as well as the mothers. It will also be 80 years since the 1st burial in the Frankfurt Cemetery.
